Strutt & Parker joins Farm Safety Partnership
Strutt & Parker is committed to helping the UK farm industry improve its safety record.
That’s why we are delighted to announce Strutt & Parker has become a member of the Farm Safety Partnership – a group of companies and organisations committed to working together to engage with farmers to increase safety awareness.
Agriculture stubbornly remains the most dangerous industry in the UK, with 33 fatalities in 2017-18, as well as over 15,000 work-related illnesses and 13,000 non-fatal injuries annually.
By linking up with the Farm Safety Partnership, we hope to raise greater awareness of the main causes of fatalities and how risks can be reduced.
Proactive
Our ultimate goal is to see a safe working environment on all our clients’ farms and estates.
It’s why we are committing to encouraging more farmers and landowners to be proactive in achieving health and safety best practice and encourage a safety-first approach.
We want clients to be mindful of how best to protect themselves, their families, their employees and any third parties who might be affected by their operations.
We know that sometimes people struggle to know exactly what health and safety procedures need to be followed and why.
That’s why our services include offering clients advice on the implementation, monitoring and review of health and safety legislation affecting their farms and estates.
We’ll give practical help and guidance on all aspects of health and safety, from what risk assessments you need to carry out, through to accident recording requirements and staff training.
To ensure that health and safety matters remain top of mind, we also produce a quarterly update, which highlights topical health and safety issues you need to consider.
